Hello! We are H.J.Warder Ltd. - specialist pullet rearers based in Pleshey, Chelmsford. This is the place to buy healthy, fully vaccinated chickens in Essex. Starting at £10 each we have the lowest priced hens around.
We are a friendly, family run farm that have been in the poultry business for over 70 years. Our chickens are litter reared with great care and attention here on the farm, from chicks to Point-of-Lay age. Our family business has always taken pride in it's high poultry welfare standards and excellent customer support.
We also supply Layers meal, pellets and wheat straw bales - please see our other pages for prices. We can also give plenty of advice on how to keep your hens happy in their new home.
Our Bovans Brown April batch are now all reserved and we are now taking reservations for early June.
We do have Dekalb White chickens available this Easter, a white hybrid laying a white egg. They are £15 each, fully vaccinated and at Point of Lay. We don't have many so they are limited to a maximum of 10 birds per customer.
After Easter our next white pullets will be available at the end of July. Please email office@warderschickens.co.uk or call 01245 237231 to reserve your chickens.
We sell chickens by reservations and pre-arranged collections only.
