Our hybrid pullets are litter reared and are fully vaccinated when they leave us at Point-of-Lay. We rear two breeds, Bovans Brown and Dekalb White. Both are robust layers and ideal garden hens. They are easy to tame and make lovely family pets. Bovans Brown pullets lay a brown egg and are £10 each. Dekalb White pullets lay a white egg and are £15 each.
Our April batch of Bovans Brown pullets are now all reserved. We are now taking pullet reservations for early June for Bovans Browns.
We do have Dekalb White chickens available this Easter, a white hybrid laying a white egg. We don't have many so they are limited to a maximum of 10 birds per customer.
After Easter our next white pullets will be available at the end of July. Please email office@warderschickens.co.uk or call 01245 237231 to reserve your chickens.
We sell chickens by reservations and pre-arranged collections only.
If you are new to chicken keeping, or unsure how to introduce your new chickens to an existing flock, please just ask us on how best to do it. We have reared chickens for over 70 years so we can provide plenty of advice.
When visiting to collect your chickens, please take a pet carrier/crate or box to comfortably, and safely, take them home. A sturdy cardboard box (with a lid and some air holes cut in) is ideal. If in doubt about a box please take it with you and we will advise if it is suitable, and provide you with a replacement box if it isn't.
See our FAQ page for more information about pullet ages and breed.

"Brilliant prices, advice and the best chickens I have ever had"
"The chickens haven't stopped laying and are a very good temperament, mixing well with our existing chickens. Very welcoming owners and would definitely recommend"
"Although we kept half a dozen or so hens for 30 years + the hens we bought the other day are probably the best we have had. From the start they were very calm, a sure sign they had been well cared for, and started producing eggs the following day. Perfect for anyone just starting to keep hens"
